STINGZ™ strengthens links in Kasakhstan with Almaty signing

WE are extremely pleased to announce that Almaty Rugby Club has joined the STINGZ™ family.

Almaty Rugby Club is one of the oldest and largest Rugby clubs in Kazakhstan. With a rich heritage in the sport, Almaty has a fully-fledged men's, women's and youth Rugby section that has produced and continues to produce a number of players for both the men's and women's national teams.

This collaboration further strengthens the cooperation between Kazakhstan, title sponsors Giordano and STINGZ™ - both Giordano and STINGZ™ are also currently kit sponsors and official kit suppliers to the Kazahkstan men's and women's national Rugby team, respectively.

The largest city in Kazakhstan, Almaty has a population of about 2 million people and remains the most populous, cosmopolitan city in the nation. It is also the major commercial and cultural centre of Kazakhstan.

The city is located in the mountainous area of southern Kazakhstan near the border with Kyrgyzstan in the foothills of the Trans-Ili Alatau, where the Large and Small Almatinka rivers run into the plain.
