After turning heads with their ‘laser beam’ jersey in 2019, STINGZ™ have gone for a more solid offering this year, using a traditional African tribal pattern as the main focus for Uganda’s 2020/2021 Impis Rugby Union Home jersey, inspired by the team’s spear and shield club crest.

The sleek and clean home jersey again uses Impis’s traditional colours of black and green, but for 2020, STINGZ™ have gone for shades of lime, fluoro green and yellow in order to give the collection a more contemporary feel and to differentiate the gear from other teams in the Uganda premiership.

The playing jersey is constructed with a raglan sleeve design to offer players a better fit. Made from durable premium poly fabric, the jersey is also crafted with STINGZ™'s premium “U-Collar” for enhanced breathability and durability. Global fashion apparel brand Giordano return as title sponsors.

Established in 1989, the Ugandan Rugby club is the most distinguished and parent club of Makerere University Rugby Football Club. The team, whose catchword is “arrogance”, made history when they became the first club to lift the seven’s title at the Mandela National Stadium Namboole, and has traditionally been a breeding ground for some of Uganda’s best Rugby players.
