New shirt and new crest for Forton Rangers

We are pleased to unveil Forton Rangers FC’s new official home playing and goalkeeper jerseys for the forthcoming season.

Based in South Somerset, UK, Forton Rangers was formed in 1985 when Mike and Eddie Gage approached local farmer John Adams looking for somewhere to relocate their Fivehead-based team. John, being a football lover, agreed to let them create a pitch on part of the land making up his tenancy at Manor Farm in the village of Forton, near Chard, Somerset.

The Club has since made rapid progress through the divisions of the Perry Street and District Football League, getting promoted from Division 3 at their first attempt, then winning Division 2 the following season and Division 1 a few years later, on their way to the Premier Division, where they stayed for 13 years.

The Club have also won numerous local and regional silverware, including the Arthur Gage Cup, the Chard Hospital Cup, the Coronation Cup, the Daisy Hutchings Memorial Cup, the Division One Cup, the Kenny Hodges Cup, the Reg Eglon Cup and the Tommy Tabberer Cup.

The Club have since moved into purpose-built facilities and, in 2020, proceeded with a revamp of their longstanding official team crest with the help of talented graphic designer, Lia Tanasa. They also enlisted STINGZto provide a bespoke design for their new kit, culminating in the Forton Rangers FC’s new official home playing and goalkeeper jerseys for the 2021/22 Season.

The team’s new home jersey adopts a predominantly purple colourway, with contrast gradient pinstripes and fluorescent yellow side panels, cuffs and collar. The front panel features a feather monogram pattern, inspired by the pelican on the Club’s crest, with the Club’s new sponsor, urban activewear and performance training wear brand, Silvermark, occupying the front of shirt space. The Club’s secondary sponsor, Ernest Consultancy, appears on the right sleeve.

The design elements of the ‘keeper’s jersey mirrors the home playing jersey, except for the primarily light coral pink colourway.

All kits feature STINGZ’s new signature number and lettering set, again custom-designed by the brand’s go-to graphic design specialist, Lia Tanasa.
