STINGZ™ keep it classy with Honiton Hippos' away kit

We are pleased to unveil Honiton Town Football Club’s new official away playing jersey for the forthcoming season.

Founded in 1950, Honiton Town are based in Mountbatten Park in East Devon, with the first team playing in the SW Peninsula League and the seconds playing in the Devon & Exeter League. They were crowned champions of the Exeter Premier League in 2017.

For the club’s away kit, we wanted to craft something unique and classy. As such, we adopted a white and silver colourway, with red and black bands on the sleeves – a nod to the club’s traditional home colours.

As the club are dubbed “the Hippos”, we used a symmetrical, yet abstract image of a hippo as the main watermark feature on the front panel, which is finished off with a contrasting retro grid pattern. This, coupled with the subtle ‘halves’ arrangement and the crew neck collar, gives the jersey an overall touch of nostalgia.

Hippos once roamed Honiton, and Hippo teeth were found during the construction of the Honiton bypass in 1965. Said to be 135,000 million years old, these were ‘cheek teeth’ which a hippo uses for eating grass and vegetation.

Stay tuned for the unveiling of Honiton’s Away GK Jersey, and their spectacular new training jersey!
