A STINGZ™ produced merch kit for the Sweeper Podcast has featured on a recent episode of talkSPORT Live.
Presenters Hawksbee & Baker chatted to Sweeper Pod founders Paul Watson and Lee Wingate and were presented with their very own Sweeper Pod merch shirts, produced by STINGZ™.
Both avid fans of the weird and wonderful world of small nation football, Paul has written a new book Around the World in 80 Clubs, which features stories from the world of football.
A former player and professional coach, Paul is best known for serving as coach of the Pohnpei State football team, and the Federated States of Micronesia national football team in 2009 and 2010, an experience that inspired his 2012 book Up Pohnpei.
Paul later helped establish Bayangol FC in Mongolia.
In 2018, Paul was the lead organiser and tournament director of the CONIFA World Football Cup in London, a tournament for nations, states, and people not recognised by FIFA.
STINGZ™ has collaborated with Paul on several projects including the CONIFA World Cup, being the main kit supplier for participating nations, Kernow, Barawa, Cascadia and Tuvalu to name a few, as well as providing the official referee kit, worn by former professional referee, Mark Clattenburg.
